Training in eating disorders

I’ve completed the training as a master practitioner of eating disorders through the National Centre of Eating Disorders (NCFED). This intensive training has enhanced my knowledge and enabled me to develop a skill set for supervision and client work. This model, in particular, emphasises a holistic and empathic approach to treatment, which I incorporate into my supervision to ensure that both therapist and client receive the highest standard of care and understanding.

Emergency Support

Occasionally, uncertainty can arise outside the supervision session. Therefore, I can offer additional support outside of scheduled sessions. Please contact me for quick guidance through voice notes, ensuring you get timely assistance. However, to maintain confidentiality and compliance with the ethical framework, identifying client information is shared on these communications for issues requiring deeper Focus. Additional supervision needs to be booked in, and this is chargeable.

SUPERVISION FOR EATING DISORDER THERAPIST

I can offer one-to-one supervision that supports both challenging clients of a client’s recovery and also being able to celebrate recovery wins. Regular supervision is essential to help support you and your client through a tiring and draining illness. You are ensuring that your clients are looking after your well-being.

SPECIALISED SUPERVISION FOR EATING DISORDERS

If you are seeing a client and discover an eating disorder and feel incredibly overwhelmed or unsure how to proceed despite not being specialised in this area, I can give you the guidance you need to support this client ethically, ensuring that the client gets the crucial support and referral into the eating disorder system. Also, I’d like to help you navigate the complexity of these cases, offering supervision that aligns with the highest professional standards working underneath the BACP framework for your therapeutic relationship.
